Balloon Rally

Last weekend, we went to the Mesilla Valley Balloon Rally in Las Cruces, NM. It was pretty interesting to see people setting up balloons and riding in them. We waited our turn to take a ride, but it got too windy and never got our chance. I found out that there is another balloon rally in El Paso and we might try to go to that one and ride a balloon. :)

Hot air balloons! I remember reading about them in this old Disney 'Yearbook' which had all sorts of photographs by kids my age and other 'niche' events like sailing and yes, ballooning! I personally haven't been in close contact with one before, much less rode on one but someday I'd like to see that happen :^)

Down here in the Southwest, it seems to be a pretty big thing. I guess because the weather is usually good for ballooning.

I can't wait to ride one myself! I hope that the next event won't get windy, like it did in Las Cruces.

I'd like to go sailing, too someday. :)

Sailing eh? I'm in Maryland and sailing is a fairly big event here in the bay and in the rivers! Me? In particularly good days, the rivers are crowded with sailboats >_o I never personally was on a sailboat though, dispite me seeing plenty of 'em.

(as an unrelated side note, do you check your Hotmail and your listed e-mail often? I dropped off a letter if you wanna check it out n.n)
